Windows 8 M1 Build 7850 Leaks to the Web
Windows 8 leak season is in full swing and today we’ve learned that a leak of an early Milestone 1 build of Windows 8 has been posted to a BetaArchive FTP site. So far, the build is only available to private members, but is said by many to be legitimate and will soon be available.

What is Windows 8 “Genuine Center”?
Images have surfaced on winfuture.de of a new Genuine Center in early builds of Windows 8. This appears, for the moment, to simply be a single place accessible from the Action Center where a user can check if their copy of Windows is genuine, enter or change their product key and activate it.

Possible Windows App Store Screenshots Leaked
We’ve heard rumors that Microsoft is working on an App Store model codenamed “Jupiter” for their upcoming release of Windows 8. Very little is known about the app store, but small bits have started to leak about Microsoft’s plan for the new app model. Cnbeta posted screenshots this morning of the supposed App Store running.

No day goes by without another post somewhere on the Internet that reveals yet another new Windows 8 feature. The latest is Long Zheng’s discovery of a SmartScreen Filter in Windows 8. Many computer users know SmartScreen Filter from Internet Explorer or Windows Live Messenger where it is used to protect against phishing website.

Windows 8 Aero Auto-Colorization
The next new feature of the upcoming Windows 8 operating system has been revealed: Windows Aero Auto-Colorization. What does it mean? It basically means that Aero will change the colorization of Windows automatically based on the underlying color. If you have green background, for instance a green desktop wallpaper, then the window color will also.

Windows 8 Leak Sites Closed Down
Microsoft appear to be getting tough with sites that have been leaking Windows 8 features over the last couple of weeks. Sites such as winreview.ru, PCPortal.org.ru and wst-place.ucoz.com have all closed, probably as a result of legal threats. Winreview.ru posted on twitter that: winrevuew.ru is not exists [sic] anymore because it is pointless project.

Microsoft is pushing to position Windows 8 as not just a replacement for Windows 7 on desktops, but also as a serious OS for tablets and touchscreen devices – to that end, the company has been hard at work creating a new interface for the new operating system, inspired at least partly by its work.

Windows 8 Windows Explorer Ribbon UI Revealed
We see screenshots of new Windows 8 features on an almost daily basis right now, which can be mainly attributed to the fact that Microsoft has started distributing early test versions of the Windows 8 operating system to a wider audience of partners. The latest leak was posted on the Within Windows website.
